Saijo Matsuri
Saijo Matsuri is the name for the overarching festival that takes place across the Kamo, Ishioka, Isono, and Iizumi Shrines in the fall.
The Saijo Matsuri was introduced from the Edo period, and it is said that successive generations of Saijo’s daimyo (feudal lords) had boasted about the festival.
The Isono Shrine Festival on the 15th and 16th of October is the liveliest part of the Saijo Matsuri.
