■Cherry Blossom at Kumyoji Temple
Kumyoji Temple is a popular site for viewing cherry blossoms in the spring, with various kinds of old trees present, totaling about 300. The flower season extends for a month and cherry blossom viewing parties are held every where around the temple. Many people come to enjoy the blossoms from every part of the city as well as from outside the city.

■Bujo Park
Bujo park is located along the Kamogawa River, which flows into the Hiuchi Sea. The view with Hachido Mountain in the background is called little Arashiyama of Shikoku Island, comparing it to the real Arashiyama in Kyoto. The row of 1,500 cherry blossom trees along the river includes various kinds of cherry trees such as Prunus Yedoensis. In addition to the good location, the park draws attention due to the variety of over 100 species of cherry blossom trees. |

■Yoshida Riverbed
This site received an award from the Japan Cherry Blossom Association in 1996. There is a row of about 80 beautiful cherry blossom trees.

■Hiuchinada Flower Garden
Visitors can enjoy various flowers including 30 different kinds of peonies, azaleas, and other flowers. There is a walking path in the garden.

■Hoanji Temple
These are the prefecture's oldest temple ruins, which are believed to have been built in the Asuka Period (645-715 A.D.). The temple was said to have been built under orders from Prince Shotoku. You can still see the ruins from ancient times. This site is also known for the 1,000 peony blossoms that go into full bloom from the middle to the end of April, covering the entire site.

■Wisteria at Teishoji Temple (Kannondo)
This Noda Wisteria, which is about 400 years old, is designated as a natural treasure by the prefecture and the city. With its trunk diameter of 2.2 meters and height of 3 meters, the wisteria stretches its branches to the full extent of the trellis, covering 16 meters from east to west and 14 meters from north to south. During its full bloom, this wisteria attracts many people coming from both inside and outside the prefecture.
